The first bright, sunny day we’ve had in like a bazillion years and I was so pleased to spend a day in the garden.I got my book out, since the little ones were occupied,I managed all of six pages.Six.The only observation I can make is that they’ve changed Fanny to Franny in The Magic Faraway Tree.Presumably because they thought kids would find it far too hilarious to read without snorting orange squash out their nostrils. How ridiculous,it’s totally not funny ;-).
So why did I only manage six pages?Well…
My daughter, who had gone inside under the premise of getting some more dolls was so quiet that I followed shortly after only to find her in the bathroom mixing up ‘baby food’ or actually a bowl of conditioner and water.Yum.

After I’d sorted out the mess I realised I’d put my sunglasses down.Could I find them?Could I buggery.I swear everything I put down in my house grows legs and goes for a wander.
One of the neighbours was playing music, not unnecessarily loud however enough to distract me by singing (howling) along to or moaning I hated each song.I don’t know why but I don’t half hate Coldplay.
Two cats decided today was the day they were meeting for a scrap on top of the shed.Tails were up and hissing ensued.I really did laugh though when my 6 year old turned to me and said “it’s like a stand-off isn’t it Mum and started whistling that song from The Good,The Bad and The Ugly!No idea where he got it from?
There was a spider in my coffee.IN MY BLOODY COFFEE!!!!How frigging rude mate?Get your own!!I also found 2 ladybirds in my daughters hair! What’s that about?
I gave up on the book in the end and we opened a baby pampering salon!Made a mint we did 😉
Have you been able to enjoy a bit of tidy weather where you are?
hahaha! Sounds like loads of fun!
I don’t like Coldplay either…They are just whiny noise. lol

haha sounds like a lot was going on that day!! It is amazing how many things can actually be so annoying when you just want some piece and quiet moment enjoying a book and a little bit of sun. Although the baby pampering salon sounds way more interesting lol Thanks so much for sharing this at #KCACOLS. I would love to see you again on Sunday! 🙂 x

Aghh at the spider in your coffee. Love your daughters imagination, I can remember making some kind of potion with talcum powder once that turned in to a really sticky paste. I was not popular. I’ve been reading the magic tree with my eldest and had picked up on the name change too. Thanks for linking to #PickNMix x

Ha! It’s always the way. Usually when I’ve sat myself down with a cuppa someone fills their nappy or asks to go to the toilet. I haven’t bothered to attempted a book in a long time 🙂 #kcacols

Coldplay are dreadful, aren’t they!? But I can kind of understand your daughter making dinner out of conditioner – they sometimes smell pretty damn delicious!

I’ve still got the original ones but picked up the new ones on offer so the kids could share, that’s when I noticed the change lol. Definitely my fave books as a kid ,I’d get lost for hours in them x

I loved those Enid Blyton books when I was a child. I had no idea they had changed the name! I can’t remember the last time I managed to read a chapter – I feel your pain! Have loved the sun being out recently though – it always cheers me up, even if I’m not in it! #KCACOLS
