It’s that time of year again when both my youngest children have their birthdays – 9 days apart! It can be hard work and expensive. When you ask what they’d like you’re either answered with a 4 page list or a resounding “I dunno”. Here I list a few inexpensive items that make great present ideas for both boys and girls.
Emoji Notebook – GiftPup.com £7.99
If you have a budding artist or story writer then they will love this Emoji Notebook from GiftPup! Emoji’s are everywhere and now they can have their very own notebook covered in them. Choosing from lined or plain paper, in A4 or A5 and customising the cover with your chosen name means there can be no doubt over the owner of creative masterpieces (or just doodles!) Kids love a personalised item so this is sure to be a hit with kids big and small.
Little Brian Paint Sticks £5.25 and up
If you have a child that loves painting but the idea fills you with dread then Little Brian Paint Sticks are for you! They are a fun, clean and convenient way to paint. No need for brushes or water meaning none of the usual soggy mess that comes with painting! The solid paint sticks twist up and down like a glue stick and dry within minutes of use for hours of fun. Most days I have a fight on my hands to brush my daughters hair, she loves having long hair just not the daily fight with the knots! Having a detangling brush is an absolute must for us and they don’t come prettier than the gorgeous Tangle Cherub. Founded by royal & celebrity hairdresser Richard Ward the Tangle Cherub is just the right size for smaller hands, a dinkier version of the original Tangle Angel the Tangle Cherub is heat resistant, anti static, water resistant and antimicrobial. It can be used on wet or dry hair and is available in a choice of colours.
Chocolate Chops is a cute plush interactive dog who is loveable, fun and soft with none of the responsibilities of owning a real puppy! Waving at him will start him barking, whining and growling with excitement. He will even wag his tail! All of Chocolate Chops actions are motion activated, meaning your child can really get involved and have fun with their ‘pet’. If you’re looking for the perfect gift for a dog mad kid then Chocolate Chops is a brilliant choice! Chocolate Chops is battery operated with 3 X AA batteries which are included and can be changed when required. Age 3+.
Character Goo – Smiggle £7.00 (each)
Slime and putty are the things to be seen with at the moment and kids just can’t get enough of them! Smiggle Character Goo! has the added extra of a hidden character within. There are 4 different character figurines to collect – shark, dino, fairy or mermaid – something for everyone!
Do your kids always have a list of a million things or do you find them hard to buy for?
